New England is a hub for many aerospace and defense companies developing jet engines, nuclear submarines, and helicopters. These companies seek to advance their manufacturing and production technology far into the 21st century, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques such as 3D modeling, additive manufacturing, lean processes, and virtual
