Project Background

The Mission:
The price of many of the most common materials used in manufacturing has risen over 50% over the past 5 years. Additionally, alternative materials and composites have become more readily available. As a team, we will be exploring the usage of alternative materials using composite such as ABS plastic, carbon fiber, and Kevlar. We will evaluate these materials to ensure their usability and affordability. We will also evaluate the practical use for these materials and explore their usages for small-scale manufacturing and rapid prototyping applications.
